Yeah Tarzan! He is getting an offer from the company in Chicago. They called him yesterday afternoon and are fedexing the offer today (not sure if it is arriving today or tomorrow). Hopefully the offer is in the ballpark, and if so - CHICAGOLAND HERE WE COME!! Yes Io we are hoping it has mandated IVF coverage, but the company is not headquartered in IL, so I'm not sure how that works. We'll look at the benefits this weekend! Yippeee 9 months of being laid off for my Tarzan is coming to an end!!
Like I said initially he will be staying in a studio hotel to make sure he likes it and we may only see each other once or twice a month. If he likes the job (which I think he will), then we'll rent a condo since we don't want to sell our house in Michigan (we love our house here). Claudio, Guido and Pachi (the cats) and I will head to Chicagoland. Tarzan and I were joking last night that we'll live like we did in college - haha.
So much to do before he starts. I need a new car ASAP so hopefully we can go test driving on Saturday morning! I'm thinking the Chevy Traverse may be the better choice if we are going to be transporting "stuff" back and forth between Detroit and Chicago. TTFN.

ReplyDeleteMy parents recently bought a Traverse and they love it. I do remember they said there was a huge difference between the 2009 and 2010 models with the 2010 model being far nicer. My grandma liked their Traverse so much she wanted one also but they are selling so well in Oklahoma--and it's difficult for the dealers to get them--so they made her a better deal on an Envoy and she traded with my parents. But I actually think they miss the Traverse!
Yay! I'm so happy Tarzan got the offer! Go T!!!! Although I am also a little sad you will potentially be moving to Chicago. Too bad we haven't been able to manage a coffee get together in awhile. But I know this is really awesome news so I am so happy for you guys! Chicago IS pretty darn cool so hopefully he loves the job and it all works out for you guys! How exciting! Keep us posted!
