No woman in her family has lived past the age of 53. She is in the process of writing her memoir and for some reason her publisher wants to see her blog reach 5000 subscribers before she will publish it. Her memoir is "the story of the four generations of women in my family who have carried the BRCA 1 gene". She is up to 800 subscribers so far. Breast cancer is near and dear to my heart having lost my best friend Patty to this dreadful disease 10 years ago this month, as well as my good friend Maryann 17 years ago. My mom is a 7 year survivor.

Just did it...why do I think I've heard of her before?
ReplyDeleteThat's stupid that a publisher is asking her to do that...why not just ask her to write a book based on content? Not exposure? Isn't the point of writing a book to get more exposure? DUH!!!
I lost my grandmother to breast cancer years ago and it breaks my heart...she would have loved how her life could have been.
